【Key Responsibilities】

• Installation & Commissioning
  Execute on‑site installation, calibration and fine‑tuning of advanced semiconductor equipment, with special focus on electrical systems (PLC, servo drives, sensors) and software configuration (HMI, PC‑based control, SECS/GEM).
• Troubleshooting & Repair
  Rapidly diagnose and resolve complex electrical, mechanical and software issues. Strong ability to read electrical schematics, perform I/O checks and debug software logic.
• Software & Firmware Updates
  Perform software upgrades, parameter adjustments and firmware updates to improve equipment performance or fix bugs.
• Preventive Maintenance
  Carry out scheduled maintenance including electrical safety checks, software backup, and calibration of vision/control systems.
• Customer Support & Training
  Provide technical support and basic training on electrical and software aspects of the equipment.
• Reporting & Documentation
  Document electrical/software faults and solutions for the knowledge base.
• Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  Work closely with software and electrical engineering teams in Suzhou HQ to feedback issues and drive improvements.

【Required Skills & Qualifications:】

• Basic Requirements

  • Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer in semiconductor or precision automation industry (minimum 1‑3 years).
  • Language: Must be fluent in Mandarin and English (to communicate with Suzhou HQ and read technical documents).
  • Travel: Willing to travel extensively within Malaysia.

• Technical Skills

  • Electrical: Familiar with electrical circuits, sensors, servo motors and I/O devices; able to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams; use multimeter, oscilloscope, etc.
  • PLC: Ability to read PLC ladder diagrams, monitor I/O status, diagnose communication and hardware faults (Keyence, Mitsubishi, Omron experience is a plus).
  • Industrial Communication: Basic understanding of SECS/GEM, SMEMA, Modbus, EtherCAT – able to configure parameters and diagnose communication issues.
  • Software Debugging: Able to operate HMI and PC software; basic script reading/modification (C#, Python or structured text); familiar with serial/network debugging tools (e.g., Tera Term).
  • Database: Basic SQL query skills to retrieve alarm or production data from equipment logs.

  Preferred Skills (Plus)

  • Hands‑on experience with SECS/GEM configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to modify simple software scripts or adjust parameters independently.
  • Basic knowledge of PC‑based control or host software frameworks.
  • Experience with motion control cards or axis control debugging.
