With a strong international footprint and a growing presence across Southeast Asia, the company partners with leading food manufacturers to deliver high-performance packaging equipment, automated systems, technical expertise and lifecycle support services.

As part of its continued regional growth, the business is looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join its Thailand service team, supporting customers throughout Thailand and across the wider Southeast Asian region.

Position Summary
Reporting to the Service Manager, this role works closely with the sales, service and operations teams to deliver high-quality technical support for automated food packaging machinery and systems.
Responsibilities include equipment installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, emergency repairs, equipment upgrades, audits and customer training.

The successful candidate will take ownership of customer interactions, provide technical recommendations, recommend spare parts where appropriate, and ensure packaging equipment performance meets customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, commission and service automated food packaging machinery and associated equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance, breakdown repairs, troubleshooting and equipment audits.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and automation-related faults.
• Conduct equipment performance testing before and after service activities.
• Support equipment installation, machine setup, commissioning and production start-up at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot packaging machinery to minimise downtime and maintain production efficiency.
• Deliver operator and maintenance training to customer personnel.
• Prepare accurate service reports and technical documentation.
• Recommend spare parts, equipment upgrades and reliability improvements.
• Work closely with customers to optimise packaging machine performance, reliability and availability.
• Collaborate with regional engineering and technical support teams to resolve complex technical issues.
• Support customers during breakdowns and emergency service requirements.
• Meet service KPIs including response time, first-time fix and customer satisfaction.
• Follow all company, customer and food-industry safety standards.

Requirements

• 5–10 years' experience servicing industrial machinery, preferably within packaging machinery, food manufacturing equipment or industrial automation.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems.
• Experience commissioning and maintaining automated industrial machinery.
• Good understanding of PLC-controlled machinery, sensors, motors, drives, control systems and industrial automation.
• Ability to diagnose equipment faults and identify root causes in a production environment.
• Ability to interpret electrical diagrams, mechanical drawings and technical schematics.
• Experience working directly with customers in a field service environment.
• Excellent customer communication and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent Thai and good English.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Willingness to travel extensively (up to 80%) throughout Thailand with occasional overseas travel.
• Degree or Diploma in Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience supporting food packaging machinery is highly desirable.
• Previous aftermarket, field service or technical support experience.
