Field Service Millwright Supervisor – Pulp & Paper Industry

We are seeking an experienced Field Service Millwright Supervisor to oversee site supervisors and hourly millwright crews in the pulp & paper industry. This leadership role is responsible for building and maintaining a skilled workforce, ensuring safe and efficient project execution, and fostering strong customer relationships..

This position requires heavy travel to project sites, company vehicle and expenses.

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct supervision of site supervisors and millwright crews on pulp & paper projects

Lead all aspects of project execution with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and efficiency

Build and maintain construction project schedules; track progress from planning through completion

Coordinate work across engineering, crafts, and subcontractors

Prioritize tasks, manage resources, and resolve schedule/material conflicts

Oversee the change order process and keep the Operations Manager informed of project impacts

Ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to customer specifications

Develop scope with Operations Managers and Planners; assist in bid proposal preparation

Conduct punch list development and project closeout activities

Manage subcontractor performance and field needs

Coach, mentor, and develop supervisors and craft employees to build a strong, fluent workforce

Build and maintain positive customer relationships

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in the pulp & paper industry (millwright/construction leadership)

Proven ability to lead and motivate large crews in high-pressure environments

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and adapt to changing project demands

Commitment to a safety-first culture

Willingness to travel 75%+ for projects (competitive travel pay and per diem provided)

Experience building customer trust and long-term relationships
