Field Service Technical Advisor

About the Role

As a Field Service Technical Advisor, you will serve as the primary on-site expert for the installation, maintenance, and optimization of complex industrial pumping systems. You will play a critical role in driving operational reliability for our clients while acting as a key technical liaison to ensure long-term equipment performance and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the installation and commissioning of high-energy pumping equipment at diverse industrial facilities.
• Perform comprehensive troubleshooting and diagnostic analysis to resolve complex mechanical failures.
• Deliver technical training and ongoing support to client personnel to ensure optimal system operation.
• Manage end-to-end service documentation, including detailed technical reports, time logs, and expense tracking.
• Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with clients to drive retention and identify new business opportunities.
• Proactively identify and recommend product or process improvements to enhance system efficiency.
• Maintain a high level of responsiveness to customer needs, including managing on-call requirements for critical support.
• Coordinate with internal sales and engineering teams to provide feedback on field performance and equipment reliability.

Qualifications

Required Skills

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in the field or shop environment working with high-energy pumps.
• Deep technical proficiency in the installation and maintenance of industrial pumping equipment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to perform under pressure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective client interaction.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management software.
• Ability to travel extensively (up to 100%) to support project requirements.

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience with cross-OEM equipment and aftermarket support.
• Proven background in technical sales or customer-facing service roles.
• Specific expertise in the operation and repair of multistage pump systems.
