Field Service Technician - Cable Systems

Our company is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team. The Cable Installer will be responsible for installing, testing and maintaining cable systems for commercial customers. The ideal candidate has experience using tools, adheres to safety regulations, and has a strong knowledge of customer service. The Cable Installer will be responsible for connecting new cable lines and responding to customer issues on current lines.

Responsibilities:

• Perform manual labor efficiently and safely while following procedures and safety policies.
• Work in harsh weather conditions to perform repairs or installations.
• Use good judgment to make on-the-job decisions efficiently and appropriately.
• Communicate with clients to ensure proper installation quality and timely service.
• Install, repair, test, and maintain various cable lines.
• Meet with customers face-to-face for new accounts or service calls.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in fibre and/or copper installation and repair considered an asset
• Strong customer service skills
• Positive attitude with the ability to work well with colleagues and clients
• Self-motivated, with time management skills
• Adaptable with the ability to confidently make decisions under little supervision
• Ability to use various hand tools and small power tools

Requirements:

• Flexible to work various shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Available to work 40 hours per week
• Valid driver’s license with a clear driver’s abstract
• Must have own transportation
• Clear criminal background check
• Ability to lift 55lbs and carry, climb, and work from a ladder

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.25-$32.00 per hour
