Field Service Technician – Colorado
Field-Based | $20.00–$25.00 per hour | Company-Provided Training
About Our Company
Neteo Broadband helps connect homes, businesses, and communities across Colorado through fixed wireless broadband. Our field team installs and maintains reliable internet equipment, supports customers, and solves practical problems safely. We value dependable service, clear communication, teamwork, and people who are ready to learn.
Job Description
We are hiring a Field Service Technician for a field-based Colorado role. You will complete customer installations and service calls, learn fixed wireless and basic networking systems, and support equipment at customer and remote sites. Prior broadband, tower, or telecommunications experience is helpful, not required. We provide technical and safety training, including tower-climbing certification before tower work.
What You Will Do:
- Complete residential and commercial broadband installations, activations, preventive maintenance, and service calls.
- Learn to install, align, test, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade fixed wireless equipment.
- Use hand tools, ladders, meters, signal-testing tools, maps, work orders, and technical instructions.
- Set up and troubleshoot basic routers, Ethernet cabling, low-voltage DC power, grounding, and related equipment.
- Document completed work, test results, inventory, time, photographs, and customer updates accurately.
- After company-provided certification, climb communications towers and work at heights using approved fall-protection equipment.
- Travel to customer, tower, and remote network sites; participate in scheduled weekends, overtime, and on-call assignments.
- Provide respectful, clear customer service and follow all safety rules.
What You Will Bring:
These skills are helpful, but we will train the right candidate:
- Reliable attendance, a safety-first mindset, and willingness to learn hands-on technical work.
- Clear communication and a respectful approach with customers and team members.
- Ability to read instructions, maps, diagrams, and work orders.
- A valid driver’s license and ability to meet lawful company driving requirements.
- Availability for field travel, occasional multi-day projects, scheduled weekends, overtime, and an on-call rotation.
- Ability to complete company-provided tower-climbing, fall-protection, rescue, and related safety training before tower work.
- No specific degree or prior broadband experience is required.
- Helpful, not required: experience with hand tools, customer service, construction, low-voltage electrical work, networking, fixed wireless, RF equipment, or similar field service work.
What You Will Experience:
Work is performed in outdoor and active field environments. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Exposure to heat, cold, wind, rain, snow, uneven terrain, traffic, noise, insects, and remote locations.
- Regular standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, climbing, balancing, and use of hands to handle tools, cables, materials, and equipment.
- Tower work at substantial heights after required training, using approved personal protective and fall-arrest equipment.
- Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or moving of objects up to 50 pounds and occasional movement of objects up to 70 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Extended driving, sitting, and multi-day travel, plus work near electrical systems, RF equipment, batteries, and mechanical hazards under established controls.
- Ability to receive and respond to safety information, recognize hazards, read instructions, operate equipment, and communicate effectively, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Location: Colorado; field-based with multi-day travel.
Pay range: $20 – $25 per hour. Starting pay is based on job-related skills, experience, certifications, and business needs.
Other compensation: This non-exempt position is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with applicable federal and Colorado law. No bonus or commission is currently advertised.
Benefits: Company-provided technical, tower-climbing, fall-protection, rescue, and safety training. Any additional employer-sponsored benefits are governed by current plan terms and eligibility rules.
How to apply: Submit an application through the job board or company application page where this posting appears.
Application deadline: 8/14/2026. The deadline may be extended if the position remains open.
