Field Service Technician

About the Role

As a Field Service Technician, you will serve as a critical asset in maintaining the operational integrity of our heavy machinery fleet. You will be responsible for the comprehensive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of internal combustion engines and complex mechanical systems to ensure peak performance and safety across our industrial site.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and complex repairs on a diverse range of mobile heavy equipment.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to identify and resolve issues within hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Execute equipment testing and adjustments to ensure compliance with rigorous safety and performance standards.
• Operate specialized hand tools, pneumatic equipment, and lifting devices to complete repairs efficiently.
• Maintain detailed service records and adhere to all OSHA-mandated safety protocols and LOTO procedures.
• Collaborate with site teams to minimize equipment downtime and maximize production output.

Qualifications

Required Skills

• Proven experience in heavy equipment repair and diesel engine maintenance.
• Strong technical proficiency in troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Comprehensive understanding of electrical diagnostics and heavy machinery circuitry.
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and EHS management standards.

Preferred Skills

• Technical certification in heavy equipment mechanics or a related field.
• Experience working in high-output industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Advanced knowledge of braking systems and mobile equipment safety devices.
