About the business
COMS Systems is a growing technology company specialising in biometric and camera-based systems. They design and deliver end-to-end solutions that automate manual processes for the gaming and hospitality industries.
Their products span Facial Recognition, Core Gaming Solutions, Cash Management, and Room Sweeping Apps - supporting operational efficiency while improving security, compliance, and harm minimisation.
Behind the tech is a highly experienced, in-house team of Designers and Engineers, led by Directors with 20+ years’ industry experience. Known for reliability and customer focus, COMS is in a strong growth phase.
About the role
This is a hands-on, highly mobile field role where you’ll solve real problems in real time. You’ll spend a significant amount of time travelling and working on customer sites rather than from a fixed location. - Configure and test systems to ensure performance
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment
- Support integration with networks and databases
- Train customers and provide ongoing technical support
- Build strong customer relationships and manage queries
- Manage stock and coordinate with the wider team
- Maintain clear documentation and reporting
What you’ll bring
- Trade qualification in electronics, CCTV, telecommunications, or IT (preferred)
- The ability to configure networks (IP addressing, subnets, camera integration) (preferred)
- Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal communication skills
- Customer-focused with the ability to build rapport
- Solid literacy and numeracy skills
- Genuine flexibility and availability to travel approximately 50% of the time across New Zealand and internationally, including at a moment’s notice
- Full and clean driver’s license
Benefits
- Medical insurance
- Company vehicle + tools of trade
- Performance-based bonus
