Field Service Technician - European Industrial Projects

Location: Yverdon-les-Bains, Switzerland (projects across Europe)

Salary: From €1400/month (gross salary) + daiy allowances during projects

Contract: Swiss permanent contract

Job Purpose:

To perform electromechanical maintenance, diagnostics, and repair work on machinery and equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety in line with company standards and technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Preventive & Corrective Maintenance

• Perform routine checks and preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Identify malfunctions or potential failures and take necessary actions.
• Carry out repairs and replace defective components (motors, sensors, wiring, belts, bearings, etc.).

2. Installation & Commissioning

• Assist with installation of new machines or systems.
• Test and commission equipment according to manufacturer guidelines and internal procedures.
• Ensure all safety systems are functional before equipment is put into operation.

3. Troubleshooting & Diagnostics

• Use testing instruments (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.) to diagnose electrical and mechanical faults.
• Collaborate with engineers or supervisors to resolve complex technical issues.
• Document findings and repairs in maintenance logs.

4. Health & Safety Compliance

• Follow all safety rules and regulations, including use of PPE and lock-out/tag-out procedures.
• Report any safety hazards or incidents to the supervisor immediately.
• Ensure compliance with company and industry safety standards.

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Complete service reports and maintenance records accurately and timely.
• Update technical documentation related to equipment and procedures.
• Communicate with the technical team regarding recurring issues or improvements.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Technical education: Vocational school or technical degree in electromechanics, electrical engineering, or similar.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in an electromechanics or maintenance technician role.
• Solid knowledge of both mechanical and/or electrical systems
• Fluent English is required (written and spoken), as you will work daily with international teams.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and manuals.
• Basic knowledge of PLC systems is a plus.
• Good physical condition; ability to work in industrial environments.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
