Whether it’s providing clean water to more than a billion people on the planet, producing materials that are essential in everyday technology devices from smartphones to electric vehicles, or protecting workers around the world. Discover the many reasons the world’s most talented people are choosing to work at DuPont. Why Join Us | DuPont Careers

For more than 30 years, Memcor, part of DuPont Water Solutions, has been at the forefront of membrane filtration technology, designing, installing, and supporting advanced water treatment facilities across the UK and around the world. Our long-standing customer partnerships reflect the reliability and innovation of the multiple generations of membrane technologies we have successfully delivered over the past three decades.

We are looking for a Field Service Technician who enjoys hands-on technical work, solving problems in the field, and traveling across the UK to support critical water treatment infrastructure. This is an opportunity to work independently while making a direct impact on ensuring the reliability and performance of cutting-edge ultrafiltration systems.

What You'll Do

As a key member of our service team, you will travel to customer sites across the UK to perform maintenance, repairs, and replacement of ultrafiltration modules, helping customers maintain essential water treatment operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing ultrafiltration module repair and replacement activities while maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Diagnosing and resolving technical issues on-site.
  • Working independently as well as alongside fellow DuPont technicians on larger projects.
  • Building strong customer relationships through professional communication and exceptional service.
  • Preparing clear and accurate service reports following customer visits.
  • Collaborating closely with the sales and service teams to ensure customer expectations are met.
  • Managing travel arrangements and project expenses responsibly while adhering to work order budgets.
  • Representing a globally recognized technology leader in the water treatment industry.

What We're Looking For

We're interested in candidates who combine a strong technical mindset with a customer-focused approach.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the UK (up to 90%), including occasional weekend travel.
  • Proficiency with Windows-based laptops and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 15 kg during a typical workday.
  • CSCS Card and/or DOMS Water Hygiene Certification (or willingness to obtain certification).
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to manage travel expenses responsibly, including accommodation, transportation, and meals.
  • Commitment to maintaining accurate records, vehicle logs, and equipment maintenance documentation.

Why Join DuPont Water Solutions?

  • Work for a global leader in water treatment and sustainability.
  • Gain hands-on experience with industry-leading membrane filtration technologies.
  • Enjoy a high degree of autonomy and responsibility.
  • Travel across the UK and work directly with customers on critical water infrastructure projects.
  • Be part of a supportive and collaborative team committed to innovation, safety, and professional development.
  • Contribute to solutions that help communities and industries access safe, clean water.
