Field Service Technician – Packaging Equipment

About the role

We are looking for a hands-on Field Service Technician to provide installation, servicing, troubleshooting and after-sales support for packaging machinery supplied by our company. This is NOT a heavy industrial or factory production machinery maintenance position. Our equipment mainly consists of commercial/light industrial packaging machines used by food, fresh produce, supermarket and related customers, such as vacuum packing machines, flow pack machines, net clipping machines, weighing/grading machines, conveyors and other packaging equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Install, test, commission, service and repair packaging machinery at customers' premises
• Troubleshoot and diagnose basic electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and control-related problems
• Carry out preventive maintenance and routine inspection of customers' machines
• Attend customer service calls and machinery breakdowns and provide on-site technical support
• Perform replacement, adjustment and repair of machine components and spare parts
• Provide basic machine operation and maintenance guidance to customers after installation or servicing
• Prepare service reports and maintain proper records of work completed
• Liaise with customers and internal departments regarding technical issues, spare parts and follow-up actions
• Travel to customer locations within Klang Valley and outstation when required
• Attend urgent service calls outside normal working hours, including weekends or public holidays, when required
