Field Services Technician / Technology Installer

Location: Based out of Troy and Ann Arbor, MI, with travel throughout Southeast Michigan

We are looking for a hands-on Field Services Technician / Technology Installer who is comfortable using tools, working on ladders, and installing technology at commercial client locations.

This is an installer-focused position, not a traditional help desk role. IT experience is helpful, but not required. If you're mechanically inclined, good with tools, and interested in technology, we'll train you on the IT and networking side.

What You'll Do

• Mount TVs, monitors, and commercial video displays
• Install Microsoft Teams conference rooms with TVs, cameras, microphones, and speakers
• Install wall-mounted cabinets, network racks, shelves, and equipment
• Rack and organize switches, firewalls, patch panels, and other networking equipment
• Install UPS and battery backup systems in server and network racks
• Install and mount Wi-Fi access points
• Install security cameras and related equipment
• Install and support door access control systems
• Run, terminate, test, and label network cabling
• Set up computers, monitors, printers, phones, and workstations
• Assist with office moves, renovations, and new technology installations
• Troubleshoot and repair installed equipment
• Keep installations clean, organized, labeled, and professional

What We're Looking For

• Handy and comfortable using hand and power tools
• Experience using drills, drivers, levels, ladders, anchors, and common installation tools
• Able to safely mount TVs, cabinets, cameras, access points, and other equipment
• Mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working in ceilings, server rooms, network closets, and commercial environments
• Dependable, professional, and comfortable working at customer locations
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout Southeast Michigan

Experience That's a Plus

Experience or familiarity with any of the following is helpful:

• AV or low-voltage installation
• Structured cabling
• Security cameras
• Door access control systems
• Network and server rack installations
• Wi-Fi access point installation
• UPS and battery backup systems
• Ubiquiti
• Digital Watchdog
• PSA platforms such as Halo, ConnectWise, or Kaseya
• Basic networking, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems

We'll Teach the IT Side

Our Field Services team handles the physical installation of technology. We will train the right candidate on networking, Wi-Fi, computers, Microsoft Teams rooms, security systems, documentation, and other business technology.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
