Field Supervisor

Supervisor: One Source Direct Footsoldier Network (Khayelitsha)

Role Purpose

Lead, manage, and develop a team of field agents responsible for SIM activations, VodaPay registrations, and micro‑insurance product distribution across Khayelitsha. Ensure daily performance, compliance with FAIS requirements, and safe, disciplined field operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a team of 10–25 footsoldiers across Khayelitsha (Site B, Harare, Makhaza, Enkanini, RR, Taiwan, etc.).
• Run daily morning stand‑ups, assign territories, and set daily targets.
• Conduct on‑the‑ground coaching, shadowing, and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with FAIS, RE5, and Telco sales scripts and disclosures.
• Track daily KPIs: SIM activations, VodaPay signups, insurance leads, conversions.
• Handle attendance, discipline, and agent retention.
• Maintain safety protocols and route planning for high‑risk areas.
• Train new agents and support onboarding sessions.
• Report daily performance to One Source Direct leadership.
• Build strong community relationships to support recruitment and brand trust.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent.
• RE5 certification OR proof of exam booking (non‑negotiable for compliance).
• Minimum 1–2 years’ experience supervising field teams (insurance, telco, retail activations, or community fieldwork).
• Strong communication in isiXhosa and English.
• Must reside in or near Khayelitsha with strong local knowledge.
• Android Smartphone with WhatsApp, GPS, and basic digital literacy.
• Ability to walk long distances and work in fast‑paced township environments.
• Clear criminal record (fraud screening required).
• Must have own Vehicle and a valid drivers licence

Preferred Experience

• Previous work within the Short Term Insurance industry as well as the Telco Fintech space.
• Experience managing door‑to‑door or community‑based sales teams.
• Familiarity with FAIS, TCF, and regulated sales environments.
• Experience in township safety management and route planning.
• Strong coaching and people‑development skills.
