Field Survey Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Land Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting precise measurements and assessments of land areas to determine property boundaries, topography, and other essential features. This role requires a strong understanding of surveying principles, proficiency in relevant software, and the ability to analyze data effectively. The Land Surveyor will collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to ensure accurate project execution.

Responsibilities

• Conduct land surveys using specialized equipment and technology.
• Prepare detailed schematics and maps based on survey data.
• Analyze survey data to determine property boundaries and land features.
• Apply knowledge of trigonometry and geometry in calculations related to surveying tasks.
• Collaborate with project teams to provide accurate information for construction and development projects.
• Perform fieldwork that may require heavy lifting and working in various outdoor conditions.
• Maintain accurate records of surveys, including notes, sketches, and photographs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in land surveying or a related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit, or similar software is highly desirable.
• Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex information accurately.
• Solid understanding of surveying principles including trigonometry and geometry.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Willingness to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting as required by the job.
• A valid driver's license may be required for travel to various job sites.
