What they need
Field Systems Specialist
Location: Remote; must reside near a major airport
Travel: Domestic and international travel
This is a unique opportunity to build hands-on technical experience while traveling to customer locations across the United States and internationally as part of a growing industrial technology company. As Field Systems Specialist, you will help bring connected sensor technology to life by installing network equipment, configuring systems, deploying sensors, and ensuring each customer environment is operating as intended.
You will work alongside Field Installation Managers and other technical team members during new customer installations. While the Installation Manager owns the overall project, schedule, logistics, and onsite team, you will focus on the technical execution required to get the system online and functioning properly. That includes installing gateways and networking equipment, configuring system connectivity, deploying wireless sensors, validating communication, and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
Your work will also extend beyond initial installations. You may return to existing customer locations to perform routine system health checks, troubleshoot network or sensor issues, replace equipment, verify system performance, and help ensure customers continue receiving reliable data from their installed technology.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with technology, solving problems with their hands, traveling, and learning how connected hardware, networks, and software work together. What matters is that you bring technical curiosity, basic networking or electronics knowledge, strong attention to detail, and the willingness to learn quickly.
If you are energized by travel, hands-on technical work, constantly changing environments, and the opportunity to develop deeper expertise in industrial IoT technology, we would love to speak with you.

- Document completed work, equipment changes, troubleshooting steps, and outstanding issues.
- Communicate technical findings clearly to customers and internal teams.

- Support other technical field projects and customer needs as required.
Qualifications & Requirements

- Strong troubleshooting skills with the curiosity to understand why something is not working.
- Able to follow technical instructions while also thinking independently when problems arise.
- Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.

- Exposure to industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, construction, or field-service environments is preferred but not required.
- Must be at least 21 years old, possess a valid driver’s license, and be authorized to work in the United States.
- Willing and able to travel extensively throughout the United States and internationally, including nights, weekends, and holidays when projects require it.
- Able to use tools, climb ladders and stairs, kneel, crawl, work at heights, and lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
