Entry-Level Field Technician (Training Provided)

Top Tier Tech is seeking motivated and dependable Entry-Level Field Technicians to join our growing team. This is a beginner-friendly position, and no prior field technician experience is required. We provide hands-on training and are looking for individuals who are eager to learn, work hard, and develop valuable technical skills.

As a Field Technician, you may assist with a variety of tasks including basic hardware installations such as mounting TVs, setting up routers and networking equipment, installing security cameras, and assembling computer systems. Daily responsibilities may include traveling to customer locations such as homes, offices, retail stores, or construction sites to perform device setup, run low-voltage cabling, test equipment functionality, and troubleshoot connectivity or hardware issues. You may also assist with phone and tablet repairs, replace components, organize and label wiring, and ensure all installations meet quality and safety standards. Technicians often work both indoors and outdoors, sometimes in tight spaces, on ladders, or in varying weather conditions. Each day may involve working independently or alongside experienced technicians, providing hands-on learning opportunities and exposure to different types of technical environments.

Responsibilities

● Assist with the installation, setup, and troubleshooting of technology equipment and devices

● Travel to customer locations, including homes, businesses, retail stores, and job sites

● Help install and configure networking equipment, security cameras, TVs, computers, and other electronic devices

● Perform basic low-voltage cabling, cable management, and equipment mounting

● Assist with smartphone, tablet, and computer repairs when needed

● Follow detailed instructions, work orders, and safety procedures

● Test equipment functionality and document completed work

● Maintain and organize tools, parts, and company equipment

● Communicate professionally with customers, supervisors, and team members

● Learn new technical skills through hands-on training and mentorship

● Work independently or alongside experienced technicians depending on the assignment

● Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment

● Occasionally lift, move, or transport equipment weighing up to 50 pounds

● Adapt to a variety of work environments, including indoor and outdoor job sites

Qualifications

• No prior field technician experience required but is recommended — training will be provided
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
• Strong willingness to learn and develop new technical skills
• Dependable, punctual, and professional attitude
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
• Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, computers, and basic hand tools
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as needed
• Willingness to travel to various job sites within the service area
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening (if required)
• Previous experience in customer service, construction, handyman work, retail, or technology is a plus, but not required.

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
