Field Technician

Medco Data is seeking a reliable and skilled Field Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair technical equipment at customer sites. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and working independently while providing excellent customer service.

Field Technicians travel to various customer locations, respond to routine and urgent service calls, manage tools and parts, and ensure systems operate efficiently across a variety of environments, including IT, telecommunications, and construction.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, test, and commission equipment at customer sites
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and system inspections
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, and system issues
• Repair or replace faulty components to restore functionality
• Provide technical support, guidance, and basic user training
• Document service calls, repairs, installations, and maintenance activities
• Manage tools, equipment, and replacement-parts inventory
• Respond promptly to emergency and urgent service calls
• Maintain a professional and customer-focused presence at all job sites
• Work closely with the Medco Data team to communicate project status, service issues, and customer needs

• Strong technical and mechanical aptitude

• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users
• Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
• Adaptable to new technologies and changing environments
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Professional communication and customer-service skills
• Physically able to lift equipment, work in confined spaces, and work at heights
• Willingness to travel frequently to customer locations
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Training & Work Schedule

• Paid training provided to help you develop the technical skills needed for the position
• Combination of field work and office-based work
• Expected to work in the Medco Data office approximately 2–3 days per week, with the remaining time spent at customer locations and job sites
• Training may include hands-on equipment installation, troubleshooting, safety procedures, customer service, and Medco Data systems and processes

Work Environment

• On-site work at customer locations, including homes, businesses, and remote sites
• Frequent travel with a mobile office setup

• May involve varied or hazardous working conditions
• Ability to work flexible hours when required for urgent service calls or customer needs

Pay: $24.75 - $29.80 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
