Field Technician

Intellectica is recruiting a Field Technician on behalf of its client, a fast-growing technology company delivering advanced solutions for the wind energy industry. Based in Gerakas, Attica , the company operates internationally, supporting onshore and offshore wind farm projects across Europe and beyond. The successful candidate will be involved in the preparation, installation, commissioning and maintenance of specialized equipment installed on wind turbines. This role combines workshop-based activities with hands-on field work and frequent travel to project sites. Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

• Carry out hands-on installation, maintenance, testing and troubleshooting of technical systems and equipment at customer sites and renewable energy installations
• Support the implementation of new installations and system upgrades, including equipment mounting, cabling, electrical connections, work on electrical panels, and basic network-related tasks
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, identifying technical issues and carrying out the necessary repairs or component replacements to ensure reliable system operation
• Participate in commissioning and testing activities, verifying that installed equipment is correctly configured, connected and fully operational
• Work closely with Field Engineers and the wider technical team to execute field activities efficiently and safely, following technical instructions, procedures and project requirements
• Assist with the preparation and deployment of equipment for upcoming field installations, ensuring that tools, materials and required technical components are available and ready for use
• Provide on-site technical support during installations and maintenance activities, troubleshooting unexpected issues and escalating more complex technical problems when required
• Document completed work, technical findings and maintenance activities, providing clear feedback to the technical and operations teams
• Work across different customer sites and challenging field environments, including outdoor installations and work at height, in Greece and abroad

Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:

• Technical Diploma, IEK qualification or equivalent technical education in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanics, Refrigeration, Automation or a related technical discipline
• Approximately 2 to 4 years of experience in a hands-on technical or field-based role
• Previous experience in one or more of the following areas:
• CCTV / Security Systems / Surveillance
• Electrical installations and maintenance
• Renewable energy projects, such as wind or solar
• Industrial or field service environments
• Technical maintenance and installation services
• Good understanding of basic electrical principles, electrical panels, cabling and connections
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams and installation documentation
• Ability to identify technical issues, troubleshoot problems and implement practical solutions
• Comfortable working at height and in outdoor environments
• Good command of both English and Greek
• Valid driving license
• Availability for regular domestic and international travel
