Field Technician

Join our team as an Outside Construction Helper, supporting infrastructure deployment and maintenance projects. Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation of utility poles and mounting of equipment.
• Support reading and following basic blueprints, construction drawings, and site plans.
• Help conduct field walkouts and document existing infrastructure under supervision.
• Operate or assist with light excavation equipment (mini-excavators, trenchers) after proper training.
• Aid in conduit installation, fiber optic cable placement, and general site preparation.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized worksite in all weather and terrain conditions.
• Follow all safety protocols and report hazards or issues promptly.
• Work closely with skilled technicians and supervisors to keep projects on schedule.

Requirements

• 1+ year of experience in general construction, utility work, or outdoor labor preferred.
• Comfortable working outdoors year-round in various weather conditions.
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools safely.
• Capable of lifting and carrying up to 75 pounds regularly.
• Willingness to learn new skills and follow direction from senior team members.
• Reliable transportation, punctuality, and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to travel as required (including occasional overnight stays).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with excavation equipment (mini-excavator, trencher, skid steer).
• OSHA 10/30 safety certification or willingness to obtain.
• Traffic control certifications (MOT/Flagger) a plus.
• First Aid/CPR certification beneficial.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
