About the role

Ipswich City Council has multiple opportunities available for enthusiastic Field Workers seeking secure employment in the Ipswich area. You will join our Capital Delivery teams and contribute to the construction and maintenance of vital infrastructure projects that keep Ipswich growing and connected.

Every day will bring variety as you work alongside a supportive team, develop your skills and work on all types of projects that benefit the local community.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Civil construction and labouring activities such as shovelling, spotting, concreting, and installing pipes and gully units
• Operate small plant equipment including quick-cut saws, jackhammers, vibrating plates, and hammer drills
• Maintaining a strong commitment to safety, quality and productivity on site

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Current C class drivers' licence
• General Safety Induction (Construction Industry) card
• Certificate 3 in Civil Construction or demonstrated construction knowledge and experience
• The ability to work in line with our values of safety and wellbeing, communication, collaboration, integrity, efficiency and leadership

These are full-time permanent positions with a salary commencing at $70,601 plus 12.5% superannuation.
