SUMMARY: A well-established, family-friendly safari lodge on the Nambiti Big 5 Private Game Reserve in KwaZulu-Natal is seeking a dedicated FIELD GUIDE

POSITION INFO: This is a wonderful opportunity to join an experienced guiding team on a Big Five reserve that has held the number one TripAdvisor ranking for nine consecutive years; the lodge places as much value on the right personality and fit as it does on formal experience. Guiding couples will also be considered. Core Criteria: NQF4 Trails Guide qualification preferred; NQF2 guides actively working towards their NQF4 will also be considered Experience is an advantage, not a requirement; a strong cultural and team fit matters most Based in, or willing to relocate to, KwaZulu-Natal or Gauteng Sound knowledge of Big Five game viewing and guest safety protocols Warm, engaging guest interaction and strong storytelling ability A collaborative team player who will thrive within an established guiding team Guiding couples are welcome to apply Core Responsibilities: Conduct game drives for guests, with walking safaris to follow later this year Ensure guest safety at all times within a Big Five environment Share knowledge of local flora, fauna and conservation with guests Build genuine rapport with a largely international and loyal, repeat guest base Maintain guiding vehicles and equipment to a high standard Work closely with a capable, experienced team of guides On Offer: Salary: R8,500 to R20,000 per month, depending on qualification and experience Live-in position; own en-suite room and all meals included 8.5 days off per month, plus 24 days annual leave Partial medical aid contribution available, where applicable
