What they need

Filing Administrator | 6-Month Temp | Hamilton - Are you looking for your foot in the door of the corporate world? This could be it.

Are you recently finished with study and looking for that first opportunity to build your corporate administration experience? We’re looking for a Filing Administrator to join a well-known, purpose-driven organisation in Hamilton on an approx. 6-month temporary assignment.

This is a great opportunity to add a recognised organisation to your CV, gain valuable business support experience, and work alongside a friendly, people-focused team.

The opportunity:
This role is all about getting stuck into a backlog of files and bringing some order to the archives.
You’ll be:

  • Pulling and locating files
  • Organising and preparing files for archiving
  • Archiving historic files
  • Updating and maintaining accurate records
  • Working through a backlog in a structured and methodical way
  • Helping the team with a few urgent tasks - all training provided

So, if you’re someone who finds filing oddly therapeutic, enjoys routine and structure, or simply likes putting your head down and getting through a satisfying to-do list, you could be exactly who we’re looking for.

There are no big surprises here – just a clear task, a great team around you, and the satisfaction of seeing that backlog disappear!

About you:
We’re looking for the right attitude and personality.
You could be a great fit if you are:

  • Recently finished studying and looking for your first corporate opportunity
  • Friendly, approachable and genuinely people-focused
  • A natural team player who enjoys being part of a supportive environment
  • Reliable, organised and comfortable working independently
  • Someone who enjoys structured, repetitive work and takes pride in getting things right
  • Naturally detail-oriented – particularly important given the nature of the organisation
  • Comfortable with basic office/admin tasks
  • Available to commit to approximately 6 months
  • Able to start ASAP, ideally around mid-October
  • Able to pass a clear criminal history check

About the organisation & culture: You’ll be joining an organisation that plays a vital role in Aotearoa and makes a meaningful difference to people and their whānau every day.
It’s a genuinely people-focused organisation, with a strong focus on providing the best possible service to the community. If you’re looking for somewhere you can feel proud to have on your CV, while working with people who care about what they do, this is a great opportunity.

The details:

  • Hamilton – conveniently located near a bus stop or paid street parking nearby
  • Monday–Friday | Full-time hours
  • Approx. 6-month temporary assignment
  • Immediate start / ideally mid-October
  • Some flexibility around start and finish times between 7:30am–5:00pm (e.g. 8:00am–4:30pm)
  • Paid weekly + an additional 8% holiday pay

Christmas availability: Ideally, we’d love someone who can work through the Christmas period, excluding public holidays. However, we’re open to having a conversation about your availability, so please don’t rule yourself out if you have some existing plans.

If you’re organised, reliable, people-focused and ready to build your corporate experience, we’d love to hear from you!

We believe diversity is vital to a healthy, high-performing workplace. That’s why we’re committed to delivering a psychologically safe recruitment experience. One that uncovers and celebrates your strengths. If traditional hiring processes don’t bring out your best let us know. We want you to shine, not shy away.

Next Steps

Apply now - you'll need to hold New Zealand citizenship, residency, or a valid work visa.

If this role isn’t a perfect match, we still encourage you to apply or register your details on our website. If this isn’t quite the right fit, another role might be.
