Job Overview

We are seeking a Final Mile White Glove Home Delivery Logistics Operation Manager to lead warehouse operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee end-to-end logistics processes, including transportation management, inventory control, warehouse distribution, and delivery operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in retail big and bulky delivery management, data analysis, vendor relations, and logistics technology systems. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence operational excellence and contribute to the company's growth trajectory. Compensation will be based on experience and actual contribution to the organizational success.

This is NOT a 9-5 due to the nature of real world logistics the candidate can expect 40-45 hours a week. Shifts will be determined by the hiring leader but could include starting at 4 am or closing the facility at midnight. The ideal candidate will need to have flexibility to adjust as the organizational needs change.

Duties

• Execute logistics strategies to optimize warehouse distribution, transportation planning, and inventory management systems.
• Manage independent contractor labor pool including sourcing new 1099 contractors, management of those relationships, contract negotiations, and cost analysis to maximize value and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Oversee warehouse operations such as shipping & receiving, materials handling, stocking, and manual handling procedures to maintain high standards of safety and efficiency.
• Utilize advanced data analysis skills to monitor KPIs, identify root causes of issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with Retail Partners, 3PL providers (Third-Party Logistics) and 1099 contractors.
• Lead cross-functional communication efforts among procurement, production planning, customer service, and logistics teams to align strategies and resolve operational challenges swiftly.

Experience

• Proven experience practicing in a Final Mile White Glove Home Delivery Logistics role with a focus on logistics management within a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Background in warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), ERP platforms like AS400 or equivalent.
• Skilled in data collection methods using SQL or spreadsheets for detailed analysis; proficient in Excel data analysis for reporting insights.
• Experience managing 1099 independent contractors and freight carriers to optimize costs while maintaining service quality.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across functions; ability to lead teams through change initiatives confidently.
