About the role

Ray Tech (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Final Testing Engineer to join our Electrical and Electronic Engineering team in Johor Bahru District, Johor. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our electronic products X-Ray Machine before they reach our customers. As a Final Testing Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive testing and validation of finished products, identifying defects, and ensuring all items meet our rigorous quality standards and regulatory requirements. This position is essential to maintaining our reputation for excellence and protecting our brand integrity in the marketplace.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct final functional and performance testing on completed electronic products and assemblies
• Perform visual inspection and quality checks to identify defects, malfunctions or deviations from specifications
• Operate and maintain testing equipment, instruments and tools, ensuring proper calibration and functionality
• Document test results, failures and observations in a clear and organised manner for analysis and reporting
• Investigate and troubleshoot product failures, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions
• Verify that products comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations and customer specifications
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality assurance and design teams to resolve issues and implement improvements
• Maintain accurate records and generate test reports for management review and customer requirements
• Perform rework or repairs as needed to bring non-conforming products up to standard
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying testing process enhancements
• Mandarin speaking is a plus point.

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field
• 2-4 years of experience in final product testing, quality assurance or manufacturing engineering within the electronics industry
• Strong understanding of electrical and electronic principles, circuit operation and component functionality
• Proficiency in using test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies and specialised testing devices
• Knowledge of quality standards and testing protocols (ISO 9001, IEC standards or similar)
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify and document defects accurately
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin Chinese (an advantage)
• Ability to work systematically and maintain accurate test documentation and records
• Willingness to adhere to safety procedures and contribute to a quality-focused workplace culture
• Experience with automated testing systems or test software (preferred)
• Familiarity with failure analysis and root cause investigation (preferred)
