What they need

Finance & Administration Coordinator

RatePunk is looking for a structured, detail-oriented person to take ownership of day-to-day financial administration and keep our invoices, payments, records, and reports accurate and up to date.

You’ll work directly with our Administration & HR Manager, helping them stay informed about spending, cash flow, and outstanding items. Financial administration will be your main focus, with occasional support for HR and other internal processes.

We use Google Sheets, Excel, AI tools, and automated workflows, so you should enjoy working with digital tools while checking that the numbers behind them are reliable.

This is a financial administration role. An accounting qualification or experience as an accountant is not required.

What you’ll do

  • Collect and organise invoices, receipts, and supporting documents, following up with suppliers and colleagues on anything missing.
  • Track payment deadlines and prepare payments with supporting documentation for review and approval.
  • Coordinate with external accounting partners, submit complete documentation on time, and follow up on outstanding questions.
  • Maintain financial trackers and update regular reports covering expenses, payments, and subscriptions.
  • Monitor cash balances, inflows, outflows, and upcoming payment obligations, flagging potential shortfalls or changes that need attention.
  • Cross-check internal records, bank transactions, and reports from accounting partners, investigating discrepancies and following up on corrections.
  • Review outputs from automated workflows, identify errors or missing information, and help improve these processes.
  • Keep your manager informed of outstanding items, unresolved discrepancies, and decisions or approvals needed.
  • Occasionally support HR administration through document collection, interview scheduling, and onboarding coordination.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in financial administration, finance operations, accounting support, or an administrative role involving invoices, payments, and financial records.
  • Strong attention to detail and confidence working with numbers, checking totals, and investigating discrepancies.
  • Good Google Sheets and Excel skills, including using formulas to compare records and maintain accurate reports.
  • Confidence using Google Docs, Microsoft Word, and other everyday digital tools.
  • Willingness to work with AI tools and automated workflows, with the judgement to verify their outputs.
  • A practical understanding of invoices, expenses, payment cycles, cash flow, and basic financial terminology.
  • Clear communication skills and confidence following up with suppliers, colleagues, and external accountants.
  • Ability to organise your workload, meet deadlines, and follow tasks through to completion independently.
  • Good judgement about what you can resolve yourself and what requires your manager’s input.
  • Discretion when handling financial and employee information.

How the role works

You’ll report directly to the Administration & HR Manager and independently manage routine financial administration. You’ll prepare checked information for review; final payment approvals remain with your manager or the designated approver.

External accounting partners are responsible for accounting entries, statutory bookkeeping, tax filings, payroll processing, and statutory reporting. You’ll support them through documentation, coordination, and information checks.

Why join RatePunk

  • Take ownership of daily processes that make a real difference to how the company operates.
  • Help shape more efficient ways of working with AI and automation.
  • Join a fast-growing, product-driven environment.
  • Flexible hours and a remote-friendly setup.
  • Opportunity to grow with the team.

Gross monthly salary: €1,800–€2,500.
