The Opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Accountant, the Finance Administrator will support the delivery of accurate, timely and compliant finance and accounting services across CRDC. This is a hands-on role within the Business and Finance team, contributing to day-to-day finance operations, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reporting, governance and financial administration.

Specifically, the role will:

• Supporting purchasing processes, including quotes, general supplies and services, purchase orders and corporate credit card administration
• Reviewing and processing supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner
• Verifying invoices against purchase orders, contracts, quotes and approved delegations
• Preparing payment runs for approval in line with organisational procedures
• Assisting with payroll services, payroll payments, reconciliations, leave and tax
• Raising debtor invoices, processing receipts and assisting with debtor follow-up activities
• Performing bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, journals and adjustments
• Maintaining creditor, debtor, payroll and financial records accurately
• Supporting grant financial reports, acquittals, BAS reporting, FBT workbooks and compliance reporting
• Responding to staff, supplier and debtor enquiries in a professional and timely manner

About You

The successful candidate will be a reliable and detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys working in a collaborative team environment. They will bring sound accounting knowledge, strong numeracy skills and the ability to manage routine financial tasks accurately while meeting deadlines.

Ideally, they will demonstrate:

• A tertiary qualification in accounting, finance or a related discipline
• Progress towards, or completion of, CA or CPA qualification, will be well regarded
• Demonstrated experience in a finance, accounting or financial administration role
• Experience using accounting or finance systems
• Strong attention to detail and sound numerical capability
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
• A high level of integrity, discretion and confidentiality
• The ability to work collaboratively across an organisation and support stakeholders with finance-related processes
• Experience in a government, statutory authority or not-for-profit environment, which will be advantageous
