About IDT
At IDT, we make technology work for people. From solving everyday IT challenges to delivering projects and protecting businesses against cyber threats, we help our clients stay connected, productive and secure. Our teams bring together technical expertise and a human approach, because great IT is as much about the people we support as the systems we look after.
We're not here to simply close tickets. We get to know our clients, take ownership of challenges and find solutions that make a lasting difference. We tackle problems together, share what we learn and look for better ways of doing things. Curiosity matters here, and asking questions is part of getting it right.
As our Finance Administrator, you'll help keep our finance function running smoothly, from day-to-day bookkeeping and invoicing to supporting payroll and credit control. Your accuracy and attention to detail will help ensure our records stay reliable, our clients get timely responses, and the wider business has the information it needs to run well.
Key responsibilities
Bookkeeping and data entry
- Maintain accurate finance records and enter transactions into Xero, ensuring data is complete, correctly coded and up to date.
- Keep supporting documents and records organised, easy to locate and audit-ready.
- Assist with general finance administration, supporting the wider team as workload requires.

Finance queries
- Respond to customer finance queries in a timely, clear and professional manner.
- Act as an approachable, reliable point of contact for internal finance queries across the business.
- Handle supplier queries promptly, keeping colleagues informed of any issues that could affect delivery or payment.
Payroll support
- Collate overtime, mileage and expense submissions, ready and accurately organised for processing.
- Prepare accurate payroll information, working to monthly deadlines.
- Check that required approvals and supporting documentation are in place before information is submitted.
- Take on additional payroll responsibilities as agreed and training allows, building toward broader payroll ownership over time.
Checks and balances
- Flag discrepancies, unusual transactions or incomplete records before processing.
- Maintain clear, well-organised records of checks and approvals to support audits and good governance.
Systems and process support
- Use Xero and related finance systems confidently and in line with agreed procedures.
- Support NovaBooks queries as they arise.
- Help identify and implement improvements to keep finance processes consistent, efficient and well-documented.
About you

- Genuine career development opportunities to build your skills and grow your career.
