Finance Analyst - Assistant Manager

Job Description:

The Finance Analyst Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting financial planning, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting to help the organization make informed business decisions. This role involves analyzing financial performance, identifying trends and variances, preparing financial models, and providing actionable insights to management.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)

• Assist in the development and implementation of annual budgets, financial plans, and periodic forecasts.
• Analyze financial performance against budgets, forecasts, and historical results.
• Identify significant financial trends, variances, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

Financial Reporting and Management Analysis

• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, dashboards, and management presentations.
• Consolidate financial data from different departments and business units for performance evaluation.
• Analyze revenue, expenses, margins, operating costs, and other key financial indicators.

Budgeting and Forecasting

• Coordinate with department heads to prepare and review departmental budgets.
• Monitor actual financial performance against approved budgets and identify areas requiring corrective action.
• Update financial forecasts based on business performance, market conditions, and operational changes.

Business Performance and Cost Analysis

• Evaluate business performance using financial and operational data.
• Analyze cost structures, profitability, revenue drivers, and business unit performance.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization and process improvement.

Process Improvement and Financial Controls

• Review existing financial analysis and reporting processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and maintain standardized reporting templates, financial models, and analytical tools.
• Ensure compliance with internal financial policies, reporting guidelines, and established procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accountancy, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• CPA, CMA, or CFA is an advantage.
• At least 2-5 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), budgeting, forecasting, or management reporting.
• Previous experience in a senior analyst, team lead, supervisory, or assistant managerial capacity is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, lookup functions, and financial modeling.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools is an advantage.
