Finance Analyst

JOB SUMMARY

The Finance Analyst studies financial data, builds forecast models and evaluates business performance. This role oversees internal budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting to drive informed decision-making, operational excellence, and sustainable profitability.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 ·        Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to support business objectives

·        Prepare monthly financial reports, variance analyses, Profit & Loss statements, and executive business reviews

·        Collaborate with Sales leadership to provide financial insights, performance analysis, and strategic recommendations

·        Analyze business performance, identify financial risks and opportunities, and recommend actions to improve profitability

·        Manage forecasting cycles, revenue analysis, and pipeline reporting to improve forecast accuracy

·        Lead financial reviews, business case evaluations, and investment recommendations

·        Drive continuous process improvements by identifying efficiencies, removing operational roadblocks, and optimizing financial processes

·        Support ad hoc financial projects, audits, compliance activities, and other initiatives as needed

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT

·        Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field.  Master’s Degree is a plus.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

 ·        At least 6 years of progressive experience in Finance, Financial Planning & Analysis preferably in the construction or sales industry

·        Experience supporting a sales organization is highly preferred

·        Experience managing full profit & loss responsibilities and business performance analysis

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

·        Strong financial modeling, analytical, and business case development skills

·        Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint

·        Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills

·        Strong business acumen with the ability to influence decisions to drive business outcomes

·        Highly analytical, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities
