Finance and Accounting Manager

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare, review, and analyze financial and operational reports related to store operations.
• Monitor sales performance, gross margin, expenses, inventory levels, and profitability.
• Analyze financial trends and variances and provide actionable insights to management.
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timely submission of financial reports.
• Assist in preparing management reports, forecasts, and other financial analyses.

Cash Management & Financial Controls

• Monitor daily store sales, cash collections, deposits, payment settlements, petty cash, and expense accountability.
• Ensure proper implementation of cash handling and financial control procedures.
• Review and investigate cash discrepancies, variances, and unusual transactions.
• Coordinate with relevant departments regarding payment settlements and financial documentation.
• Recommend improvements to strengthen internal financial controls.

Retail/Store Operations Monitoring

• Monitor end-to-end retail/store operations and their financial performance.
• Track sales targets, store KPIs, inventory movement, stock variances, replenishment, and merchandising activities.
• Identify operational issues that may affect sales, profitability, inventory accuracy, or financial performance.
• Work with store teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Conduct regular reviews of store performance against established targets and standards.

Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with company policies, financial procedures, and applicable accounting and control requirements.
• Identify operational and financial risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
• Investigate significant variances, irregularities, and control weaknesses.
• Assist in internal and external audits by providing required reports and supporting documents.
• Maintain proper documentation and records for financial and operational transactions.

Team Coordination & Supervision

• Coordinate with store personnel, Finance and Accounting, Operations, and other relevant departments.
• Provide guidance and support to team members regarding financial controls, reporting, and compliance.
• For the Manager level, supervise and evaluate assigned personnel and ensure timely completion of departmental deliverables.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• CPA is highly preferred.
• At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in retail/store operations, finance, accounting, audit, or financial analysis.
• Preferably with supervisory or team-lead experience.
• Demonstrated experience in:
• Store/retail operations
• Sales performance monitoring
• Inventory management
• Cash handling and controls
• Financial reporting and analysis
• Personnel supervision
• Strong understanding of financial controls and operational processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and other business/company systems.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with different departments.

Pay: Php40,000.00 - Php50,000.00 per month
