Finance & Accounts Assistant

About the role

This role involves assisting with daily accounting and finance transactions, handling data entry, invoices, receipts, payment vouchers and other accounting documents. You will support Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, assist with bank reconciliation and payment preparation, and maintain proper filing and accurate accounting records. The role includes assisting with month-end closing and preparation of reports, following up on invoices, payments and supporting documents when required, and providing general administrative support to the Finance & Accounts team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with daily accounting and finance transactions
• Handle data entry, invoices, receipts, payment vouchers and other accounting documents
• Assist with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Assist with bank reconciliation and payment preparation
• Maintain proper filing and accurate accounting records
• Assist with month-end closing and preparation of reports
• Follow up on invoices, payments and supporting documents when required
• Provide general administrative support to the Finance & Accounts team

About you

• Diploma/Certificate in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field is preferred
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and computer applications
• Knowledge of accounting software will be an added advantage
• Responsible, organised and detail-oriented
• Good communication skills and able to work well in a team
