Finance & Accounts Coordinator

About the role

This is a hands-on role combining accounts, finance administration and general office support. You will work closely with management and take ownership of the day-to-day accounts function while also assisting with the smooth running of the office.

Key responsibilities

• Process and code supplier invoices accurately

• Match invoices against purchase orders and delivery dockets

• Generate and maintain purchase orders

• Reconcile supplier statements and investigate discrepancies

• Prepare supplier payment runs for management approval

• Ensure all invoices are allocated to the correct project and cost code

• Assist with tracking project budgets, committed costs and actual expenditure

• Identify duplicate invoices, missing credits, pricing discrepancies and unusual costs

• Assist with month-end accounts processes and reconciliations

• Process supplier credit applications and maintain supplier records

• Order & maintain stationery, staff uniforms and general office supplies

• Provide general administrative support to management and operations

About you

• Strong Accounts Payable and reconciliation experience
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Confident identifying and resolving discrepancies
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Experience with Xero preferred
• Good Excel skills
• Payroll experience advantageous
• Construction, civil or project-based industry experience highly regarded
• Proactive, reliable and comfortable taking ownership of your work
