What they need

At THE resources HUB and Resourceful Women, we're looking for someone who enjoys creating structure, improving processes, and being the person, everyone relies on to keep the accounts and the business running smoothly.

This is much more than a finance role. You'll become a central part of our operations, supporting payroll, finance, systems and office administration across two growing businesses. You'll enjoy variety, take ownership, and work closely with every area of the business to keep our operations running smoothly.

If you're organised, proactive, enjoy variety but still thrive during the routine tasks, we'd love to hear from you!

What you'll get stuck into:

  • Manage accounts payable, receivable and reconciliations across both businesses.
  • Onboard new employees and process weekly payroll and super for casual labour hire employees and internal staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate timesheets, payroll approvals and mobilisation documentation.
  • Complete daily bank, credit card and account reconciliations while maintaining accurate Xero records.
  • Coordinate payment runs, purchase orders, supplier accounts and finance administration.
  • Onboard new clients and ensure compliance checks
  • Support month-end processes, BAS preparation and reporting.
  • Maintain cloud-based systems, user access and business data.
  • Assist with recruitment administration, compliance, onboarding and general office operations, as well as client and internal reporting.
  • Help improve systems, workflows and business processes across both businesses.
  • Be the go-to person for finance, administration and operational support across the team.

Your application will stand out if you have:

  • Three or more years' experience in payroll, bookkeeping, finance support or office administration.
  • Experience processing payroll for casual labour hire and/or internal employees.
  • Working knowledge of payroll legislation, awards, superannuation and Fair Work requirements.
  • Strong working knowledge of Xero and Google suite, and recruitment systems (desirable but not essential).
  • Excellent organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confidence communicating with clients, candidates, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience within recruitment, labour hire or the mining and resources industry will be highly regarded.
  • A Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or Accounting (or equivalent experience) is desirable but not essential.

What's in it for you?

  • Variety: Enjoy a truly diverse role spanning finance, systems, administration, recruitment and business operations.
  • Flexibility: Choose what works best for your lifestyle with part-time school hours, job share or full-time opportunities.
  • Ownership: Play an important role supporting the day-to-day success of two growing businesses.
  • Growth: Expand your skills beyond finance and gain exposure to recruitment, mobilisation, operations and business improvement.
  • Culture: Join a supportive, down-to-earth team where your ideas are welcomed, your contribution is valued, and everyone pitches in to help each other.
  • Perks: On-site parking, modern cloud-based systems, genuine flexibility and the opportunity to grow alongside the business.
