About the Client

Our client is a China-based trading and manufacturing business. Currently they are building up a neat office in Hong Kong and are recruiting an experienced and hands-on Finance and Operation Manager in their Hong Kong office.

About the Role

• Report directly to the Founder/CEO and serve as the key finance and operations leader for the newly set-up Hong Kong overseas headquarters.
• Involve in financial planning, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management and performance analysis across overseas subsidiaries.
• Coordinate the consolidation of management information across markets.
• Develop reporting frameworks and management dashboards.
• Establish robust treasury, intercompany settlement, funding, payment-control and cash-flow forecasting processes for the overseas group.
• Oversee financial and operational tracking of trading activities, including purchase contracts, payment milestones, inventory, leasing deployment, collections, supplier payments and transaction profitability.
• Support financial oversight of the manufacturing business, including product profitability, e-commerce/channel performance, inventory planning, receivable collection and international settlement arrangements.
• Coordinate with local finance teams, external accountants, auditors, tax advisers, banks and company secretarial providers on finance and compliance matters.
• Handle office administration and ad hoc projects, including corporate support, vendor management, banking administration and Founder/CEO-led business initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

• Diploma/Degree holder in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline
• At least 10-15 years of accounting and finance experience, with exposure to group reporting, cross-border operations, multiple entities and senior management engagement.
• Relevant experience from international trading, manufacturing, e-commerce, consumer products, logistics, shipping, supply chain, leasing or an entrepreneurial group environment is highly preferred.
• Strong technical capability in management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial consolidation, treasury, cash-flow management, working capital and intercompany accounting.
• Proven ability to build practical finance processes, reporting frameworks, controls and governance structures within a fast-growing or developing organisation.
• Commercially minded, with the ability to assess profitability, pricing, inventory turnover, customer credit, collections, contract exposure and capital-allocation decisions.
• Comfortable working directly with an entrepreneurial Founder/CEO, combining strategic judgement with a highly hands-on approach to execution.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to coordinate finance teams, outsourced providers and advisers across overseas subsidiaries.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin; Cantonese is preferred.
• Immediately available is an advantage.
