A finance officer is responsible for managing an organization’s financial health, overseeing accounting operations, budgeting, reporting, compliance, and strategic financial planning.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

• Processing financial transactions such as sales and purchase invoices, expense claims, and payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies Indeed.
• Maintaining financial records including ledgers, spreadsheets, and accounting software entries to provide a clear audit.
• Assisting with payroll and employee expense reimbursements, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
• Reconciling accounts and bank statements to verify balances and identify discrepancies
• Supporting budget preparation and financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
• Providing administrative support such as filing, answering phones, liaising with vendors, and organizing financial audit.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience
• A minimum of an HND in a related field
