Finance Assistant

• Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and documentation.

o Perform data entry tasks related to accounts payable and accounts receivable.

o Support the finance team in reconciling ledgers and ensuring data integrity.

• Billing Support

o Issue invoices and submit them to customers through various channels

o Issue customer account statements and handle queries related to invoices.

• Conduct basic financial analysis and reporting.

o Assist with Financial reporting on a timely manner in accordance with the month end schedule.

o Analyse financial and non-financial data to extract relevant information.

o Assist with the coordination between the reporting team and budgeting/forecasting functions.

o Assist with ensuring the accuracy of cost centre / profit centre entries from all levels.

• Costing and Pricing:

o Assist in creating the right costing and price models for new business, tenders and bids.

o Assist in cost analysis for new business.

o Participate in pricing discussions and contribute insights.

• Fixed Asset Management:

o Ensure that assets are allocated to the correct cost centres / profit centres.

o Update asset registers, calculate depreciation, and maintain accurate records.

• Forecasts and Budgets:

o Assist to prepare financial forecasts and annual budgets.

o Assist in variance analysis by comparing actual performance to budgeted figures.

o Learn about budgeting processes and contribute to budget presentations.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications and Skills:

• Degree in finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related fields.
• Proficient in Excel.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work with data and perform financial analysis.
• Highly analytical and detail-oriented.
• Basic understanding of SQL.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Previous experience is a plus.
