Finance Assistant

About the role

To support the Finance & Accounting Department in accounts payable processing, supplier payments, reconciliations, claims administration, fixed-assets tracking and month-end closing. The role ensures that financial transactions are processed accurately, completely and promptly in accordance with approved company policies and procedures.

What you'll be doing

• Processing and recording financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, and expense claims
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounting records and filing systems
• Assisting with bank reconciliations and cash flow management
• Preparing financial statements and reports under supervision
• Supporting payroll administration and employee record-keeping
• Managing accounts receivable and accounts payable tasks
• Liaising with internal departments and external suppliers regarding financial matters
• Assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Performing general administrative duties to support the finance team
• Ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures

What we're looking for

• Qualification in accounting, finance or a related field (SPM or diploma level minimum)
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
• Good organisational and time management abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
