Finance Assistant Manager

Job Description and Responsibilities

Financial reporting

• Prepare of certain management accounts of group entities including regulated, non-regulated entities and fund entities
• Review certain management accounts of group entities
• Prepare draft audited group and subsidiaries financial statements for audit purpose
• Assist in group interim and annual audit process and preparation of consolidation working papers
• Prepare monthly group management account and handle cost allocation among subsidiaries
• Assist in preparation of ESG reporting

Budget, treasury and expenses management

• Assist in annual budget preparation and the related communication with business units
• Assist in expenses management and control (e.g. budget approval, payment and contract execution)
• Assist in monthly profit and loss reconciliation with different business units and departments
• Assist in commission expense verification, reconciliation and payment process with business team

Tax

• Prepare and/or review annual profits tax matters for HK entities
• Assist to respond to any queries from the IRD
• Prepare and/or review  country-by-country report submission for Group entities and global minimum tax filing
• Assist in offshore entities related tax matters

Ad-hoc

• To communicate service provider PCCW and check for the Oracle system upgrade and maintenance
• Assist to update finance policy and manual
• Assist in-house investment projects

Job Requirements

• Degree in Accounting or other related disciplines
• Qualified member of HKICPA / ACCA (preferable)
• At least 4 to 5 years of relevant hands-on finance, treasury and budgeting experience preferred with a securities firm
• Familiar with HK accounting standards and other related regulations
• Good computer knowledge in Microsoft Office and Chinese word processing and knowledge of Oracle is an advantage
• Self-motivated and able to work independently;
• Good command of spoken and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin
• Knowledge of accounting and operations of virtual asset transactions, private equity fund of funds operation and other private funds in Cayman Islands or other jurisdiction will be an advantage but not required
• Knowledge in SFC liquid capital calculation and FRR Return and Client Money Rule will be an advantage but not required
