Finance Assistant Manager

About the role

Oversee the day-to-day finance and accounting operations for our hostel and F&B businesses. You'll prepare and review monthly P&L, balance sheet and management reports, monitor and analyse sales, COGS, payroll and operating expenses, and handle month-end closing and account reconciliation. This is a hands-on role where you'll work closely with outlet and operations teams on finance-related matters, assist with budgeting and financial analysis, and liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers and suppliers when required.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day finance and accounting operations for our hostel and F&B businesses
• Prepare and review monthly P&L, balance sheet and management reports
• Monitor and analyse sales, COGS, payroll and operating expenses
• Handle month-end closing and ensure accounts are properly reconciled
• Review payment and accounting records for accuracy and completeness
• Monitor cash flow and payment schedules
• Work closely with outlet and operations teams on finance-related matters
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, suppliers and other external parties when required
• Support the Finance Manager and management team on ad-hoc projects and analysis

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience with solid, hands-on accounting experience
• Strong Excel skills, especially XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables
• Knowledge of AutoCount Accounting System is an added advantage
• Good attention to detail and able to spot when something doesn't quite add up
• Able to work independently, manage deadlines and take ownership of your work
• Hospitality or F&B experience is an added advantage
