Behind the scenes, our finance team plays a vital role in keeping the organisation running smoothly, supporting our homes so they can focus on what matters most: the people in our care. We are currently building out our Sales Ledger function and are looking for a motivated Finance Assistant to join the team.

The Role:

As Finance Assistant, you will provide day-to-day support to the Sales Ledger Team Lead, helping to keep resident and family accounts accurate, up to date, and well managed. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their finance career to build hands-on experience across a broad range of sales ledger and billing activities within a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Sales Ledger Team Lead, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Supporting the onboarding process for new family members, including setting up accounts accurately and efficiently
• Performing account reconciliations to ensure resident and family accounts are accurate and up to date
• Assisting with fee reviews, ensuring changes are applied correctly and communicated in line with process
• Managing and maintaining standing data across the sales ledger to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Supporting billing activities, including preparation, checking, and issuing of invoices
• Managing banking data, including processing and reconciling incoming payments
• Providing general administrative and ad hoc support to the Sales Ledger Team Lead as required

About You:

We are looking for someone who is organised, detail-focused, and keen to develop their finance career. You will ideally have:

• AAT Level 2 or above (part-qualified), or a willingness to work towards an AAT qualification
• Some experience in a finance, accounts, or administrative role (desirable but not essential)
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with Sage 200 accounting software (desirable)
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
• Good communication skills and the confidence to liaise with families and internal teams
• A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn
