Finance Associate

Job Brief:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accountant to manage day-to-day cash and bank transactions at our Karachi sales office. In this role, you will handle client receipts, ensure accurate bank deposits, and serve as the vital link between the local sales office and our core finance team at the head office.

Job Responsibilities:

• Transaction Management: Receive cash and bank instruments (cheques, pay orders) directly from clients.
• Banking Operations: Deposit daily cash and instruments into designated bank accounts and promptly upload deposit slips into the company system.
• Reporting & Documentation: Prepare detailed daily reports of all receipts and bank deposits, and share a daily summary with the head office finance team.
• Record Keeping: Maintain neat and accurate physical and digital records of all sales receipts and deposit slips.
• Coordination: Liaise between the bank and the local sales team to resolve any transaction or clearance queries.

Job Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience handling cash, banking operations, or basic bookkeeping.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in spreadsheets (MS Excel and Google Sheets). Previous experience using accounting or company ERP software is highly preferred.
• Soft Skills: Reasonable communication skills with an interactive, organised, and proactive approach to daily tasks.
• Basic understanding of accounting and financial reporting.
