Finance Associate

About the Team

The team is responsible for legal entity controllership of multiple entities, including the New York branch of the Bank, the U.S. holding company, a banking subsidiary, a leasing subsidiary, and some other small entities. Deliverables for the team include, but are not limited to, audited financial statements, statutory reports, head-office reports, and management reports.

Core Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and assigned reports accurately and timely in accordance with GAAP.
• Perform intercompany eliminations and create consolidated financial statements.
• Support the maintenance of strong internal controls within the team to ensure sound practices and meet the expectations of management, internal/external auditors, and examiners.
• Engage in ad-hoc projects within the finance area.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial reporting requirements and provide solutions to changes in requirements and other related matters.
• Address other relevant issues that may arise on an ad-hoc basis.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the US.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• At least 2 years of experience in financial reporting or related areas.
• Strong ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Experience in the financial industry is preferred.
• Professional certification such as CPA is preferred.
