Finance associate

The Finance Associate supports the company’s financial operations by preparing reports, analyzing financial data, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and providing insights to support business decisions. This role works closely with the Finance and Accounting teams to ensure accurate, timely, and reliable financial information.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain financial reports, schedules, and analyses.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
• Analyze actual results against budgets, forecasts, and prior periods.
• Support the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Monitor revenues, expenses, cash flow, and other key financial metrics.
• Investigate financial variances and provide explanations to management.
• Maintain and update financial models, spreadsheets, and databases.
• Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and other accounting-related activities as needed.
• Gather and analyze financial and operational data from various sources.
• Prepare presentations, dashboards, and reports for management.
• Support financial planning, business analysis, and special projects.
• Ensure financial data is accurate and properly documented.
• Coordinate with Accounting, Operations, Sales, and other departments on financial matters.
• Assist with internal and external audit requirements when necessary.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in finance, accounting, financial analysis, or a related role is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial reporting.
• Good understanding of accounting and financial statements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with financial modeling and forecasting.
• Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
• Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools.
• Familiarity with SQL or other data-analysis tools.
• Knowledge of budgeting, variance analysis, and financial planning.
