  • Demonstrated experience in accounting and financial management, ideally within a complex organisation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and communicate insights clearly.
  • Experience supporting budget development, forecasting and financial reporting.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High-level computer literacy and a focus on identifying opportunities to improve systems and processes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build productive working relationships across all levels of an organisation.

It would be advantageous if you also have:

  • Experience in a financial advisory or business partnering role.
  • Knowledge of Local Government accounting and financial reporting requirements.
  • CPA or CA qualifications, or progress towards obtaining them.

Benefits:

This is a full-time, permanent role working a 35-hour week, with a base salary range of $94,812 - $105,241 per year + 12% super.

Council also offers a range of other benefits for its employees, including:

  • Flexible work arrangements
  • 14 weeks paid parental leave
  • 2 weeks' personal leave & 4 weeks of annual leave
  • One extra week of "My Leave" a year (to use how you like!)
