About the role

Finance Specialist at Tsinghua Electronic International Asset Management Co., Limited, a cross-border technology-focused asset management and venture capital institution holding the Hong Kong SFC Type 9 Asset Management License. The role involves financial accounting for SFC-licensed entities, regulatory compliance, business-finance alignment, and cash management for private funds and investment activities.

Key responsibilities

1. Cash & Bank Account Management: Manage daily operations of corporate and fund bank accounts for our Hong Kong SFC Type 9 licensed entity. Process fund receipts and payments, maintain cash ledgers, monitor bank transactions and mitigate operational cash-related risks. Liaise with banks on various banking matters.
2. Expense & Reimbursement Administration: Oversee corporate expense control and review reimbursement documents. Compile and submit verified reimbursement packets to the accounting team for book-keeping. Archive all expense-related documentation.
3. Business-Finance Coordination: Act as the finance operations point of contact for the front-office investment team. Communicate capital requirements and transaction information for investment projects, liaise with Fund Administrators and back-office settlement teams, and provide updates on fund execution to ensure smooth and accurate capital flows for investment activities. Support the compliance team to fulfil SFC regulatory requirements relevant to finance operations.
4. Partial Administrative (ADMIN) Duties: Perform selected corporate administrative work including document filing and meeting support to assist day-to-day operation of the Hong Kong company.

About you

• Work Experience: Preference for candidates with finance or operations-related experience at Hong Kong SFC-licensed institutions (Type 9 or other SFC licences).
• Professional Competence: Hands-on knowledge of cash management, bank account operations and expense reimbursement workflows of Hong Kong SFC-licensed asset managers; familiar with business models of private equity and venture capital institutions. Independent bookkeeping is NOT required. Strong capability in ledger maintenance and document verification, able to communicate efficiently with banks, fund administrators, accountants and auditors. Prior experience in cash operations or administrative operations at Hong Kong PE/VC or asset management firms is preferred.
• Language Skills: Fluent in Mandarin and English, proficient in business reading, writing and verbal communication. Cantonese proficiency is preferred to adapt to Hong Kong local workplace communication.
• Personal Qualities: Meticulous, responsible and data-sensitive. Excellent cross-departmental communication and coordination skills with high professional integrity.
• Working Arrangement: Full-time is preferred; part-time is also acceptable, working arrangement negotiable. Flexible working hours and location are available.
