Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and commercially oriented Finance Controller – FP&A to lead the financial planning, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and business finance activities of the organization.

The incumbent will act as a strategic finance partner to the senior management and business teams, providing meaningful financial insights to support business growth, profitability improvement, cost optimization, working capital management, and strategic decision-making.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in manufacturing finance, plant costing, FP&A, budgeting, MIS, variance analysis, financial controls, and business partnering, preferably within the Automotive / Auto Components / Engineering / Manufacturing sector.

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

• Lead the annual budgeting and business planning process in coordination with all functional and business heads.
• Prepare annual operating plans, financial budgets, forecasts, and long-range business plans.
• Develop monthly and quarterly forecasts based on business performance and market conditions.
• Analyze actual performance against Budget, Forecast, and Prior Year and provide actionable insights to management.
• Prepare detailed P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and working capital forecasts.
• Develop financial models for business scenarios, capacity expansion, new projects, and investment decisions.
• Identify key business drivers, financial risks, and opportunities for profitability improvement.

Management Reporting & MIS

• Lead preparation of monthly management MIS and performance dashboards.
• Present financial performance and key business insights to senior management.
• Analyze revenue, gross margin, EBITDA, operating expenses, working capital, and cash flow.
• Develop meaningful financial and operational KPIs for management review.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial and business performance.
• Provide clear commentary on major variances and recommend corrective actions.

Plant Finance & Costing

• Lead manufacturing cost analysis, product costing, standard costing, and variance analysis.
• Monitor material, labour, overhead, conversion cost, and manufacturing cost trends.
• Analyze cost per unit, contribution margin, product profitability, and plant performance.
• Work closely with Production, PPC, Purchase, Quality, and Operations teams to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Monitor production variances, material consumption, scrap, rework, and manufacturing losses.
• Support management in cost reduction, productivity improvement, and operational efficiency initiatives.

Business Finance & Decision Support

• Act as a finance business partner to Plant, Operations, Sales, Procurement, and Business teams.
• Provide financial analysis for new products, customer programs, capital investments, and expansion projects.
• Evaluate ROI, payback, NPV/IRR, contribution margins, and business case scenarios.
• Support management in pricing decisions and customer profitability analysis.
• Provide financial insights for strategic and operational decision-making.

Working Capital & Cash Flow Management

• Drive effective management of working capital and cash flows.
• Monitor receivables, payables, inventory, and cash conversion cycle.
• Prepare and monitor short-term and long-term cash flow forecasts.
• Identify opportunities to improve DSO, DPO, inventory turns, and cash conversion.
• Work with business teams to improve collections and optimize inventory levels.

Financial Controls & Governance

• Ensure robust financial controls, accounting policies, processes, and governance mechanisms.
• Monitor compliance with applicable accounting standards, company policies, and statutory requirements.
• Work closely with Statutory Auditors, Internal Auditors, Tax Consultants, and other professional advisors.
• Identify financial control gaps and implement corrective measures.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and management reports.

Strategic Finance

• Support senior management in business strategy, profitability enhancement, and growth initiatives.
• Evaluate capital expenditure proposals and monitor project financial performance.
• Conduct financial due diligence and analysis for expansion, investments, and new business opportunities.
• Develop scenario analysis and sensitivity models for key business decisions.
• Provide management with forward-looking insights rather than only historical financial reporting.
