What is the job?

The Finance Director is responsible for leading and overseeing the finance and accounting functions, ensuring financial integrity, accurate reporting, effective cash flow management, and sound financial planning.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage accounting personnel, including internal and outsourced resources.

• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and annual business planning processes.

• Own financial reporting and ensure timely and accurate internal and external reports.

• Manage cash flow, liquidity, banking relationships, and financial compliance.

• Oversee AP, AR, collections, customer invoicing, and payment processes.

• Manage monthly and annual close activities, bank reconciliations, asset registers, and depreciation schedules.

• Oversee sales commissions, value share payments, and employee expense reimbursements.

• Manage supply chain cost information, including supplier costs, currency exchange, and transportation costs.

• Prepare KPI reports, dashboards, and financial analyses to support business decisions.

• Analyze business trends, COGS, gross margins, and budget performance and provide actionable recommendations.

• Develop and implement financial policies, processes, and internal controls.

• Partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and recommendations.

• Represent Finance in business systems projects and ensure systems support accurate accounting processes.

• Drive process improvements and support the transition of outsourced finance functions in-house.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in financial management.

• Minimum of two (2) years in a leadership role overseeing a finance team.

• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash flow management.

• Experience with inventory accounting and controls.

• Experience in working with accounting/ERP systems such as QuickBooks Desktop, NetSuite, or similar platforms.

• Experience in Microsoft Excel.

• Must have stable employment history.
