Job Title: Commercial Controller
Location: Ortigas, Pasig, PH
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM PH Time (Hybrid | 3x Onsite, 2x WFH)

Position Summary

• Oversee all commercial and financial aspects of project delivery, ensuring alignment with HMF’s
  operational and strategic goals.
• Monitor and report on the commercial health of ongoing projects, including profitability, revenue
  recognition, and cost control.
• Prepare, analyse, and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reports to support decision-making
  and performance tracking.
• 4. Support tendering and bid processes by preparing cost estimates, commercial evaluations, and pricing
     models.
• Review and negotiate contractual terms and conditions with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to
  ensure commercial and legal compliance.
• Track project variations, change orders, and claims to ensure accurate valuation and timely submission to
  clients.
• Ensure timely and accurate invoicing, monitor accounts receivable, and coordinate with the finance team
  for cash collection.
• Work closely with Project Managers and Engineers to validate project progress, earned value, and cost-to
  complete reports.
• Identify and mitigate financial and contractual risks through proactive monitoring and management
  controls.
• Develop and maintain standard cost control and reporting procedures in line with ISO and company
  requirements.
• Support financial audits and compliance reviews by maintaining organized and traceable documentation.
• Provide monthly commercial performance summaries to senior management, highlighting trends, risks,
  and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with Operations and Finance teams to ensure consistency between commercial, accounting,
  and project data.
• Lead initiatives to improve project margins, operational efficiency, and financial transparency.
• Ensure that all commercial activities comply with company policies, client contracts, and UK accounting
  standards.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in commercial control, project accounting, or financial management within the
  engineering or construction sector.
• Solid understanding of project cost control, contract management, and financial forecasting.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working effectively with technical and non
  technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of UK taxation, invoicing, and compliance regulations is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in financial reporting, audit preparation, and variance analysis.
