Finance Coordinator

Role Description The Data Architect is a part-time remote role responsible for designing and maintaining the data frameworks that support Alt Degree Design’s operations and decision-making. Day-to-day tasks include defining data architecture standards, modeling data for key business functions, and supporting the design of data warehouses and integrated data stores. The person in this role will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand information needs and translate them into scalable, well-structured data solutions. They will also help design and review ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, ensure data quality and consistency, and contribute to data governance practices and documentation. This position requires working independently, communicating clearly in distributed teams, and proactively improving data structures and flows to support future growth.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Data Architecture and Data Modeling to design robust, scalable data structures.
• Candidates should possess skills in Data Warehousing and Extract Transform Load (ETL) to build and maintain reliable analytical data environments.
• Candidates should possess skills in Data Governance to establish policies, standards, and controls that ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
• Experience translating business requirements into technical data solutions and collaborating with non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency with modern database technologies (e.g., relational databases, cloud data platforms) and SQL; familiarity with BI or analytics tools is beneficial.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and comfort working in a remote, part-time setting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
