Finance Coordinator – Toronto, Ontario

We are looking for an enthusiastic, team-oriented Finance Coordinator to join Sword Security’s growing team!

Sword Security is a leading global provider of event staffing and crowd management services, operating across multiple locations, including Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal. We are looking for a full-time Finance Coordinator to join our expanding team in Toronto. We’re a passionate team and look forward to welcoming the right person on board!

Key Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process supplier invoices, track customer payments, follow up on outstanding balances and maintain accurate financial records.
• Financial Administration: Maintain financial databases, process expense claims, manage purchase orders and ensure all supporting documentation is complete and accurate.
• Payroll: Lead bi-weekly payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payments, and complete related reconciliations.
• Team Oversight: Oversee the day-to-day activities of the Accounts Administrator, ensuring accuracy, compliance with financial procedures and adherence to internal controls.
• Compliance: Maintain organized financial records and support compliance with applicable tax requirements, and internal financial controls.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, reporting accuracy and administrative efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience

• University degree or college diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• CPA designation in progress.
• Approximately 3 years of accounting or finance experience.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software.
• Experience working in a high volume finance environment is an asset, particularly in industries involving large scale events, workforce scheduling or high volume payroll processing.

Salary: $65,000 

Work Arrangement: This position is an onsite role, with the expectation that you work 5 days a week in the office.
